Another successful pitching show from the Mont Alto Baseball team gave them the lift to get to the PSUAC Championship game.
Today Mont Alto (#4) played the (#3) seed of Greater Allegheny in the second round of the conference tournament. After Chase King's arm beat (#1) seeded Beaver the day before, Mont Alto's Nathan Topper found his own niche from the mound. Topper pitched a complete game, 6 strike-outs, 4 hitter today as Mont Alto defeated Greater Allegheny to advance to the Conference Championship game tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.
Mont Alto's third baseman, Justin Warner went 2-3 from the plate, including a walk, a double, and a run scored.
Mont Alto will face Beaver tomorrow in the Championship game at Pullman Park in Butler, PA.
