IN BRIEF: The Apprentice School scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the second inning when Gevin Nixon drove in Thomas Richardson on a single to center field. Penn State Mont Alto was only able to muster two hits off the Builders pitching staff. Dylan Bryan took the loss on the mound for the Lions giving up one run on two hits in four innings while also striking out six.

IN BRIEF: The Builders scored three runs in the opening two frames of the game before exploding for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to put the game out of reach. Penn State Mont Alto scored all three of its runs in the top of the seventh. Brandt Swartz drove in the first Lions run in the seventh on a RBI single to center field. Sophomore outfielder Cory Chatfield lashed a liner in the gap in the next at-bat to conclude the games' scoring.

IN BRIEF: Both teams combined for 20 hits in an ultra-competitive affair that was not decided until the bottom of the ninth inning. The Apprentice School scored the game-winner in walk off fashion when Gevin Nixon singled up the middle. PSU Mont Alto fought back from a 7-4 deficit with a three-run top of the sixth. The rally began with Cory Chatfield and Colby Black reaching base before each scored on a Matt Taylor single to right field. Lowell Singer drove in his first RBI of the season on a grounder up the middle that scored Taylor to even the score. Jerimiah Younker, Colby Black, Lowell Singer and Tyler Martin each finished with multi-hit games.
Penn State Mont Alto will travel to Southern Virginia to square off with Knights for a three-game series beginning on Friday, Feb. 17.
