Mont Alto defeats Brandywine, 85-80 sending them to playoffs

 

Penn State Mont Alto Men's Basketball team finished their regular season games with a winning record of 8-7 after bringing home the victory over Penn State Brandywine.  "We played a great game as a team tonight," Assistant Coach Micah Gingrich commented.  Sophomore Kevin Onyeaka was leading scorer for Mont Alto with 19 points and nine rebounds. Freshman Jeremiah Mitchell followed right behind Onyeaka with 18 points and grabbing eight rebounds. 

 

 Finishing 6th in the conference, Mont Alto will travel to #3 Wilkes-Barre at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday February 19th for the first round of PSUAC playoffs.  The last time Mont Alto made it to playoffs was during the 2008-2009 season and lost in the first round.  The winner of Saturday's game will continue to University Park's Bryce Jordan Center for the second round of playoffs on Tuesday February 22nd
