MONT ALTO, Pa. – Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer head coach Mary Miller is pleased to release the program's 2018 schedule. This year, the Nittany Lions are slated for a 13-match schedule, which includes six home contests.
The Nittany Lions season will kick off on Saturday, September 1 when they travel to Central Penn College for a 3 p.m. start. Mont Alto will then return home for three-straight home matches beginning with a non-conference matchup with Christendom College on Saturday, September 15. Four days later, the team takes on Penn State Beaver at 2 p.m. in its first PSUAC conference matchup of the year. On Saturday, September 22, Mont Alto complete the three-match homestand with a match against Penn State Schuylkill at 2 p.m.
PSUMA round out the month of September with a pair of PSUAC road matches against Penn State Greater Allegheny on September 25 (2 p.m.) and Penn State Brandywine on Sunday, September 30 (3 p.m.).
A road contest against Trinity Washington on October 4 will kick off the month for the Nittany Lions, followed by home contest with PSU Greater Allegheny (10/6) and a road matchup with PSU Beaver (10/9).
Mont Alto will then host PSU Hazleton on Saturday, September 13 at 2 p.m. in a Pink Out game followed by its final home contest of the year against Penn State Scranton on Oct. 17. The Lions will visit Penn State Lehigh Valley, a first-year program on Saturday, October 20 and close out the regular season in a non-conference matchup with Fredrick Community College (Oct. 22).
Six days after the conclusion of the regular season, Mont Alto moves into postseason play with the start of the PSUAC tournament. The conference title game will be played on Tuesday, Oct. 30, with the winner earning a bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament in Virginia Beach, Va.
