Bio

Shane Myers joined Penn State Mont Alto in September 2021 following two years as a Sport Information Graduate Assistant at McDaniel College. At McDaniel he generated content for the website, helped in the day-to-day sports information operations, and served as the statistician for Men's/Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Men's/Women's Lacrosse.

In the summer of 2022, Myers was the leader of a project to get livestreaming for all home athletics through a partnership with HUDL and implemented the Mont Alto Athletics Network in 2024. The Mont Alto Athletics Network is the official home of all Mont Alto home athletic events. 

Myers serves on several committees within the PSUAC and USCAA. He is currently on the PSUAC Men's Basketball, Golf and Tournament & Awards committees and a member of the USCAA Men's Basketball Division II All-American Selection group. 

He is the official statistician for all Mont Alto home athletic events and was the official statistician for the 2024 USCAA Men's/Women's Basketball National Tournament, 2023 USCAA Volleyball National Tournament, 2024 PSUAC Men's Basketball Championship, 2023, 2024 & 2025 PSUAC Volleyball Tournament, 2025 PSUAC Softball Tournament and 2023, 2025 PSUAC Women's Soccer Championship. 

In his four years at Mont Alto, he has promoted 74 USCAA Academic All-Americans and 57 USCAA All-Americans. He has also promoted nine PSUAC championships, two USCAA National Championships and one individual NWCA Wrestling champion. 

In his final semester at York College, Myers gained valuable knowledge while serving as an Athletic Director Intern with Red Lion Area High School. While at Red Lion, he was an integral part of the daily operations of the department, handling football gameday duties and managing several YAIAA playoff games in soccer and basketball. 

Myers is the supervisor of the Mont Alto athletics Federal Work Study (FWS) student-worker department in which he oversees 15-20 student-workers who help operate athletic home events and manage the athletic offices and fitness center. He also oversees facility operations for the athletic facilties and other athletic spaces for facility rentals and intercollegiate practices and games. During the summer, he is the supervisor for the Mont Alto Kiddie Soccer Camp, Mont Alto Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp and Nittany Lions Skills Volleyball Camp where he oversees registration and promotion of camps as well as clinics throughout the year. 

Myers also has four years of coaching experience at the junior high level with stops at Northern York and his alma mater, Spring Grove. He also served as the Spring Grove boys' varsity assistant coach for two seasons.  Myers graduated from McDaniel in August 2021 with a Master's of Science in Kinesiology and from York College of Pennsylvania in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Management. He currently resides in York, Pa with his wife Kacey and daughter Addison.
