Game One: Penn State Mont Alto 9, Hagerstown C.C. 7

MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto baseball used a balanced offensive approach in game one against HCC on Wednesday scoring three in the second, two in the third and four in the fourth on their way to a 9-7 game one victory. Wyatt Kissel and Cameron Bailey supplied the power as they each homered and recorded two hits. Carter Fogal recorded two doubles as Mont Alto recored 13 hits total in the game.

Starter Jayden Bell earned the victory as he pitched four innings and struck out three batters. Wyatt Martin pitched two innings and Garrett Worth earned the save as he struck out one batter in his inning of work.

Game Two: Penn State Mont Alto 8, Hagerstown C.C. 4

MONT ALTO, Pa.- After trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Mont Alto erupted for four runs in the home half of the fifth and two runs in the sixth to sweep the doubleheader 8-4. Nick Leckert started off the inning with a walk and followed that up as James Sibert reached on an error. Wyatt Kissel scored Leckert on a sacrifice fly and Carter Fogal later plated Braden Zeger and Sibert on a RBI single to left center.

Caleb Cawthern limited the damage in his 3.2 innings of work, allowing just three earned runs. The Mont Alto bullpen shut the door in the remaining innings as Kyle Nolan, Cameron Niland and Athan Miller combined to allow zero runs.
