PSUAC Baseball Elimination Game: Penn State Mont Alto 21, Penn State Beaver 2
DUBOIS, Pa.- Penn State Mont Alto took on Penn State Beaver in an elimination game in the PSUAC tournament on Friday evening at Showers Field in DuBois, Pa. After a scoreless first inning, Mont Alto left no doubt as they went on to score 21 runs and mustered 17 hits. Carter Fogal earned the win with four innings pitched and five strikeouts.
Several Mont Alto players recorded two hits and James Sibert delivered the big blow in the bottom of the third inning as his grand slam put Mont Alto ahead 17-0. Sibert (5) and Garrett Rosenberry (4) led the team in runs batted in. Sibert, Rosenberry, Fogal and Josiah Bowie each recorded doubles.
Up Next: Mont Alto will take on Hazleton Saturday from Stern Field at DuBois, Pa. at 1:30pm.
