Glenville State 82, Penn State Mont Alto 38

Dariel Rivera led all Penn State Mont Alto scorers with 12 points as the Nittany Lions dropped a non-conference game against NCAA Division II opponent Glenville State on Sunday evening 82-38. Caleb Eckert went 3 for 11 from the field and scored seven points as he was the team's second leading scorer on the night. Glenville State was led offensively by Freddie Word who scored a team-high 19 points. Word also gathered eight rebounds in the winning effort.

Penn State Mont Alto trailed by only two points halfway through the first half as Glenville State had a 13-11 lead with 12 minutes remaining in the first half. Over the next six minutes of action, Glenville State would go on an 11-0 run to take a 24-11 lead with six minutes left in the half. Glenville State took a 37-22 advantage into the break.

Glenville State opened up the second half on a 10-2 scoring run as Freddie Word accounted for eight of the Pioneers points during the run. Penn State Mont Alto was outscored in the second half 46-15 as they went 7 of 29 (24%) from the field. 

Penn State Mont Alto will return to PSUAC competition when they travel to Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday evening for an 8 p.m. tip.
