Men's Basketball: Penn State Greater Allegheny 75, Penn State Mont Alto 64
MCKEESPORT, Pa.- Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball traveled to Penn State Greater Allegheny on friday evening for a PSUAC matchup, falling 75–64. The loss moves Mont Alto to 5–4 overall and 2–2 in conference play.
Greater Allegheny jumped out to an early lead, using efficient outside shooting and strong guard play to build a 41–27 advantage at halftime. Mont Alto struggled to find its offensive rhythm in the opening 20 minutes, while GA capitalized on 13 first-half free-throw attempts and timely three-pointers to create separation.
Mont Alto responded in the second half, outscoring their first-half total behind increased energy from the bench and better ball movement. Talla controlled the interior throughout the night, finishing with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Sam Larbi added 13 points and Vincent Frene provided a spark with 11 points off the bench. The Nittany Lions cut the deficit at multiple points, but Greater Allegheny consistently answered to maintain their lead.
GA was led by Jordan Poole's game-high 24 points, while DeJuan Lewis added 14 and Biagio Crossley chipped in 10. Greater Allegheny shot 86% from the free-throw line, helping them keep Mont Alto at arm's length down the stretch on their way to the 75–64 win.

SHARON, Pa.- Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball picked up a big road victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Penn State Shenango 90–83 behind a huge second-half surge. The win moves Mont Alto to 6–4 overall and 3–2 in PSUAC play.
Shenango controlled much of the first half, shooting efficiently and getting 20 early points from Kevon Washington and Izzy Santiago to build a 45–41 halftime lead. Mont Alto stayed within striking distance thanks to strong inside scoring from Veron Talla and key 3 point shots from Sam Larbi.
Mont Alto flipped the momentum after the break, pushing the tempo and attacking the offensive glass. Talla with a very strong performance in the second half, finishing with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocks, including a series of late baskets that fueled a crucial 15–2 run. Richard Burke added 16 points and 7 assists, while Chizitere Opara delivered a major spark off the bench with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
Shenango was led by Izzy Santiago, who poured in 28 points, and Washington, who added 20, but Mont Alto's interior dominance and timely stops in the final five minutes swung control. The Nittany Lions outscored Shenango 49–38 in the second half and closed the game with clutch free throws from Burke and Larbi to secure the 90–83 road win.
