Men's Basketball: Penn State Mont Alto 92, Penn State Fayette 90
MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto men's basketball saw a late lead slip away on Friday evening, but were able to hit late free throws in the second half to pull away from Penn State Fayette 92-90. Jonathan Pang led Mont Alto with 22 points, including three three-pointers in the win. Richard Burke (17), Veron Talla (16) and Lawson Hopkins (10) were all in double-digit points scored. Jesse Lawson Jr. was the leading scorer for both teams as he scored a game high 37 points for the visitors. Mont Alto shot 52.7% from the field, holding Fayette to 43.9%.
Men's Basketball: Penn State Mont Alto 89, Penn State Beaver 76
MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto was able to complete the crossover sweep with a 89-76 victory against Penn State Beaver on Saturday afternoon. Veron Talla led Mont Alto with a 24 point, 13 rebound double-double. Chizitere Opara was also effective in his 15 minutes off the bench, posting 13 points with 7 rebounds. Ny'Zir Dix paced the visitors with 19 points on 9 of 13 shooting. Mont Alto was once again able to convert at the charity stripe by making 15 of 22 foul shots (68.2%).
