Austin Green Named Golfer of the Week by both the PSUAC and USCAA

MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced on Tuesday that Penn State Mont Alto senior Austin Green (Greencastle, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) was selected as the first Golfer of the Week for the 2018 season.

Green captured the opening PSUAC Invitational of the year, firing a 4-under par round of 68 at the Penn State White Course in State College. The senior won by a stroke and helped his team to a fifth-place finish in the 10-team field. Green, who is a previous PSUAC Champion, held off Joshua Zelinsky of Penn State Schuylkill during an hour-long weather delay to win the title.

The Penn State Mont Alto golf team are in action this afternoon at the Dickinson College Invitational competing on the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club. Results will be posted on the schedule page this evening.
