Golf Team Competes in Spring Invitational at Penn National Golf Club

MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto golf team hosted the 2019 PSUAC Spring Invitational at nearby Penn National Golf Club as seven of the Penn State Commonwealth Campus competed on Wednesday, April 10.

There was a total of 24 golfers competing with the following scoring format: Eagle = 5 points, Birdie = 3 points, Par = 1 point, Bogey= 0 points, and a Double Bogey = -1 point. The team score was determined by the two best scorers from each Penn State campus.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre won the team trophy with a total of 32 points as Mont Alto finished tied for third with Penn State Fayette. Both schools managed 23 points.

Senior Austin Green (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) was the second-best individual finisher as he racked up 12 points.
