PSUAC Playoffs Elimination Game: Penn State Mont Alto 18, Penn State Scranton 4
DUBOIS, Pa.- After giving up three runs in the top of the first inning, Penn State Mont Alto quickly responded with six runs in the bottom of the first inning and eight more in the second inning on their way to a 18-4 victory over Penn State Scranton. With the victory, Mont Alto advances to face Penn State Fayette on Saturday at 10am from Heindl Field in DuBois, Pa.
Cammble Sterner led Mont Alto in hits with four and Alyssa Wiles and Rachel Alleman each had three in the winning effort. Each of Alleman's hits were doubles and Sarah Devilbiss had two doubles to lead the team in extra base hits. Kira Weikert went the distance in the circle as she allowed just four hits in five innings of work while striking out three batters.
