PSUAC Women's Soccer Semifinals: Penn State Mont Alto 7, Penn State New Kensington 1
MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto women's soccer defeated Penn State New Kensington 7-1 on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals to advance to Tuesday's championship game. Madison Eberly recorded a hat trick in the win, setting up a championship rematch with Penn State Schuylkill.
Mont Alto would waste no time in getting the first goal on the board, as Ella Fowler scored on an entry pass from Cameron Dillow just 50 seconds into the match. Mont Alto tallied on two more goals in the 11th minute as Kaylen Gracey and Cameron Dillow both scored to push the advantage to 3-0.
The second half scoring was paced by Mont Alto's upperclassmen as Grace Lochner scored the first goal of the half and Madison Eberly scored the next three in the 48th, 76th and 84th minute.
Mont Alto outshot the opposition 14 shots to eight, Kira Weikert recorded seven saves as she earned the win in the net.
