Women's Volleyball: Penn State Hazleton 3, Penn State Mont Alto 0 (19-25, 18-25, 24-26)

MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto volleyball hosted a tri-match on Saturday afternoon with PSUAC foe Penn State Hazleton and Christendom College. Mont Alto was swept by Hazleton in a rematch of the PSUAC championship from last season. Hazleton was paced by Claire Riera-Gomez as she amassed 21 kills on 60 attack attempts. Sydney Mack was second on Hazleton in kills with 12. Arianna Davey and Elizabeth Trella were the leading offensive players for Mont Alto with nine kills each.

Ashlyn Vandenbree paced the defensive efforts with 23 digs, Hazleton had four players with double-digit digs led by Riera-Gomez with 14. Sydney Tracey was effective on service for Mont Alto with two service aces for the match.

Women's Volleyball: Penn State Mont Alto 3, Christendom 1 (25-10, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21)

MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto was able to rebound in match two to split the tri-match and sweep the season series with Christendom in four sets. Arianna Davey was effective in the middle with 14 kills on 27 attempts. Elizabeth Trella led the team in kills with 15. Lucy Stahl and Serenity Fedoryka each had 13 kills for the Crusaders. Davey and Abigail Wagner were forces at the net with two solo blocks each. Brooklyn Sheridan recorded five service aces for Mont Alto, Sydney Tracey had four service aces in the winning effort.

Ashlyn Vandenbree led Mont Alto in digs with 22 in the match, Norita Martin chipped in 12. Mont Alto controlled the attack all match with a .235 hitting percentage and holding Christendom to .049.
