PSUAC Volleyball Playoffs- First Round: Mont Alto 3, Scranton 0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-11)

MONT ALTO, Pa.- The Mont Alto volleyball team hosted Penn State Scranton on Monday evening for the first round of the PSUAC Volleyball Playoffs. Mont Alto cruised in three sets to set up another matchup with the #2 seed Penn State Hazleton on Thursday evening at 7pm.

Mont Alto hit .269 as a team in the first set, .316 in the second and .375 in the third as they recorded 33 kills on 69 attack attempts. Arianna Davey was the Mont Alto leader in kills with nine on ten attack attempts. Shanez Morales was second on the team in kills with six. 

Sydney Tracey (12) and Brooklynn Sheridan (9) provided 21 of the team's 23 assists in the winning effort.

Abigail Wagner recorded one solo block and three blocking assists. Ashlyn Vandenbree was Mont Alto's key defensive player on the evening with six digs.

Up Next: Mont Alto will travel to #2 seed Hazleton on Thursday for a 7pm start for the PSUAC Quarterfinals.
