MONT ALTO, Pa. - Freshman Spotlight: This Q&A will serve as a get to know you series for our Penn State Mont Alto spring freshman student-athletes.
- Why did you choose to attend Mont Alto?
- Mont Alto is a very tight knit familial college where I feel very connected to my coaches, instructors, and classmates.
- If you could change one thing from your first year, what would it be and why?
- I would have liked to have enjoyed the moment a bit more. Nothing is given, you never know when it may be your last game.
- What is your major and why?
- Animal Science. I chose animal science as agriculture has been a common theme in my family and I would like to be better educated about it, so I can eventually land a job in the animal science world.
- What has been your favorite course at Mont Alto and why?
- Biology 110. Even though it was a difficult course, it prepared me for my college career and helped give me the ability to properly manage time.
- What is your favorite inspirational quote and who said it?
- "Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."-Babe Ruth.
- What is the hardest part of your sport?
- Concentration. Its very difficult to make a split-second decision and have it be the right one.
- Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.
- Anxiety.
- What advice do you have for a prospective Mont Alto student-athlete?
- My advice would be practice makes perfect. Perfect your skill and perfect your character through practice.
