Randy Hood's senior class leaves Mont Alto with a 50-31 record, three PSUAC playoff, and a USCAA National Championship appearance. For seniors Rachel Manikowski, Alyssa Roberts, and Kimmy Harker, Saturday marked the end of their incredible Mont Alto careers.
Mont Alto moves into the semifinal match against Pool A Runner-Up Penn State DuBois at 4 p.m. today.
Fresh off a win over The King's College earlier in the day. Mont Alto swept Penn State DuBois and will face off against UC Clermont for the USCAA National Championship Saturday at 4 p.m.
Junior Kylee Gooding led Mont Alto with 12 kills in the opening round match. Gracie Vaughn followed up with nine kills of her own. Rachel Manikowski and Kylie Denlinger each had 14 digs.
After gaining the three seed in the National Tournament, Randy Hood's squad will look to bring some hardwear back home from Virginia Beach to Mont Alto. They will have their first chance towards the title, facing off against PSUAC Champion Penn State Greater Allegheny on Thursday morning.
The volleyball team dropped the first two sets before gaining the third set. They were unable to complete the comeback and their postseason fate will rely on a potential at-large bid Thursday evening.
Following some late drama, the Penn State Mont Alto volleyball team was able to punch its ticket to Happy Valley holding on to win in four sets.

After defeating Penn State DuBois last weekend to win the tiebreaker, Penn State Mont Alto women's volleyball took care of business on Sunday clinching the #1 seed in the PSUAC West Division. They will host #4 seed Penn State Fayette at 7pm Thursday evening.
In a battle of first place teams amongst the PSUAC West standings, Penn State Mont Alto came out victorious over Penn State Greater Allegheny in straight sets
The Volleyball team picked up a key PSUAC victory defeating Penn State DuBois in straight sets.
Following a sweep of Penn State DuBois, the volleyball team defeated Penn State Shenango in four sets to move into a tie for second place in the PSUAC West.
Kylee Gooding registered 11 kills and Caroline Blickley had six to lead the offense for Penn State Mont Alto
In non-conference action Wednesday, volleyball dropped straight sets to Gettysburg 25-14, 25-14, 26-24.
